Goshen is smaller of the two main cities in Elkhart County, which in turn is part of the Elkhart-Osceola-Mishawaka-South Bend area. It is located in the northern part of Indiana near the Michigan border, in a region known as Michiana. Goshen is located 10 miles south of Elkhart, 25 miles southeast of South Bend, 120 miles east of Chicago, and 150 miles north of Indianapolis. The population is estimated at 31,934 for 2011. The city is known for its manufacturing of recreational vehicles and accessories, the home of Goshen College, a small Mennonite liberal arts college, and home of the second largest county fair in the United States, the Elkhart County 4-H Fair.
Goshen has done an excellent job of reviving it's down town empty store fronts & is now bustling with shops & people. You will find a variety of Antiques, eateries, specialty shoe stores, coffee shop, gifts, flowers, toys, clothing, spirits, health foods, meat market, books, used furnishing & just plain good company & fun to be had by all.
